Mr. Sardar Tawhidul Islam, ITP, FCA, is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) with extensive expertise in financial management, taxation, VAT, corporate finance, and regulatory compliance. He completed his Chartered Accountancy articleship at Howladar Yunus & Co., a member firm of Grant Thornton International, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2018. He also holds BCom and MBS degrees from National University and is a certified Income Tax Practitioner (ITP) and an enlisted VAT and Tax Consultant with the National Board of Revenue of Bangladesh.

Before establishing himself as a public accountant, Mr. Tawhid served as Deputy General Manager in Accounts & Finance at Mosharaf Composite Textile Mills Ltd., overseeing financial operations, corporate compliance, and risk management. Prior to that, he worked at Zaber & Zubair Fabrics Ltd., a sister concern of Noman Group of Industries, where he was responsible for financial management and project coordination in the implementation of Oracle ERP software. Earlier, he worked at Nitexpo International Bangladesh, a leading garment buying house, where he led the implementation of Zero Online Accounting Software. His auditing expertise was built during his tenure at Howladar Yunus & Co., where he gained hands-on experience in statutory audits, financial statement reviews, and corporate compliance.

Mr. Tawhid has extensive experience as a financial, legal, and tax consultant, advising businesses on accounting system design, project management, project financing, VAT and tax compliance, regulatory frameworks, and business negotiations. His research interests include international accounting, IAS/IFRS, forensic accounting, social accounting, and capital markets, and he has contributed to several national and international research publications.

In addition to his professional practice, he is a resource person (lecturer) at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), specializing in income tax, VAT, and corporate law, contributing significantly to taxation and regulatory policies in Bangladesh.
